Glassolutions Austria (Innovative Materials) supplied the glazing for the ICE-Q building in Sölden (Austria) where the legendary agent 007 meets the new Bond® girl in Spectre®, the latest episode in the spy series.

Scintillating at more than 3,000 meters, this gourmet restaurant converted into a futuristic hospital for the film, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Ötztal valley’s 250 summits. ECKELT GLAS’s Steyr facility supplied the 900 square meters of CLIMATOP triple-glazing used in the façade and the terrace balustrade. The French actress Léa Seydoux, who plays the James Bond® girl, invites the British spy to admire the glaciers through huge bay windows. After joining the gadget specialist Q on the lower floor, Bond then witnesses the young woman being kidnapped, thanks to the see-through architecture.

Designed by the architect firm Obermoser, the three-story building opened in December 2013.
