Saint-Gobain APAC Delegation sponsored the publication of a book on career development of female Chinese executives in top management multinational companies.
The author, Dr. Bettina Al-Sadik-Lowinski is a researcher and experienced executive coach and trainer in several countries, including China. She finds that contrary to what people might expect, China has a higher proportion of women in senior executive roles than almost all other countries in the world. What makes these female Chinese top managers different, she wants to find out and thus face to face interviewed 35 Chinese female executives, of each three from Saint-Gobain China, in 26 different multinational companies. They all held management roles, spinning a wide variety of industries and with head offices in Germany, France and the USA. She expects that successful Chinese women and their careers can serve as role models for women around the world.
Saint-Gobain APAC Delegation sponsored the publication of its Chinese version, aiming to help promoting Women’s career in China and inspiring the rest of the world, as indicated by Javier, General Delegate in Asia-Pacific, in his note published in the book’s back page “In a globalized world, we need the best and most effective executives if we are to stay competitive, this book explains how Chinese women rise and will help bring even more women worldwide into top management in the future”.
